My buddy CWO Bruce E. Price KIA 15, March 2004. We served together, and had many a good time. A true friend, a very solid Soldier! SOCOM lost a good man. I miss you Bruce! The world misses you! We owe you a lot!

I was born with SF DNA running through my blood. My grandfather was a Capt with 5th Special Forces Group during Vientam, a true cold blooded hard as nails operator. I followed in his foot steps as an Advisor to the Iraq Police while in the Marine Corps and worked with many fine SpecOp warriors. Thank you for being the tip of the spear, and for doing your tasks without any desire for medals, stardom, or recognition. Unsung heroes deserve more than they will ever get, and they do everything that they do with that knowledge already at hand. Thank you for the blood sweat and tears that few shall ever understand why you shed. Semper Fi

Here is my favorite Bob Ryan story:

It was Christmas Eve, 1969. It was cold and rainy-we were heading to midnight mass. He took my hand and said, “Barbara, I love you, will you marry me?”

I loved and was loved by a wonderful young man.

Our children were never born. Our love never died.

We grew up together. We did not grow old together.

Some days I wear his pin on my collar, some days I wear his bracelet on my wrist, some days I wear his ring on my finger. Everyday I wear his love in my heart.

“Until death do us part…” Bob’s poise and charm gave me the resolve I needed to face the daunting task of making a new life.

I have lived a peaceful life with my husband, Chris, surrounded by our children and grandchildren. Today, my friends and family stand with me to honor the cherished memory of the Bob I knew and loved and the Bob they, too, came to know and love.
